New Market VFD to Hold a Quarter Mania Fundraiser on Nov. 1st

New Market District Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a Quarter Mania fundraiser at the firehouse on Saturday November 1st at 6:00 pm. The doors will open at 5:00 pm. Cost is $5 for advanced seats or $8 at the door (you will receive one paddle). Extra paddles are $2 each. 70-90 prizes will be given away with 40 admissions! NMDVFD 30 Guns in 30 Days Drawing

The New Market District Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a huge gun giveaway coming up in November of 2014. We are selling tickets for $25 each, which get you a chance to win a gun each day of the drawing, which runs every day in November. We will be giving away 30 guns. Each ticket can win more than once! Rollover with One Pinned in New Market

At 2313 hours on Monday October 27th units from New Market and Mount Airy were alerted for a vehicle accident with rollover on the ramp from I-70 west bound to Route 75. A159(FF Rosebrock), E152(Sgt. Chapman), U15(Chief Nalborczyk), B156(Tech. Fossett), and C15-1(DFC Moe) responded on the run with 16 volunteers. Squad Wagon and Boat assist Urbana VFC 23 with Fire Safety Open House

On Sunday October 19th, RE153(Chapman) and B156 towing BT15(Westerholm) assisted Urbana VFC 23 with their Fire Safety Open House, all units were on display to any citizens who wanted to further their knowledge about the Rescue Squad and Water Rescue services provided by our department. Volunteers perform Back to Basics Company Drill

New Pumper Construction Begins

As mentioned back in January the New Market Volunteers have purchased their own Pumper for the first time in 30 years this year. The Company guided by the Engine Replacement Committee selected KME, Inc. to build the pumper. This week marks the first week of notable progress on our pumper. Volunteers Keep it Busy

The New Market Volunteers had a very busy weekend, this weekend while taking in 14 emergency responses without failure the volunteers also took on a tremendous amount of non-emergency work, including BINGO on Friday, Frederick County Parks and Recreations Great Pumpkin Patch on Satruday and Sunday and preperation work for some practical drills at the upcoming Monday night Company Drill. Rededication Ceremony held for Engine #1
