On Sunday November 16th, 50 volunteers came out to participate in several mandatory events. Recently the DFRS has found funding to afford each riding position in Frederick County with new Scott 5.5 SCBAs to include new Scott HT Facepieces, currently a Firefighters facepiece is the weakest portion of their protective ensemble, however after the new SCBA goes in to service that will no longer be the ... Volunteers Provide Fire and EMS Service to the Citizens North of Boyers Mill Bridge

With a impending bridge closure upon us the New Market Volunteers geared up to place additional Fire and EMS coverage in place on the North Side of the Boyers Mill Rd bridge. Both Engines Go to Spring Ridge House Fire

On Friday November 14th at 1215 hours Box 33-1 was sounded for smoke from the house in the 9000 Block of Shadybrook Drive in Spring Ridge. First arriving BAT901(Morlan) went on the scene with smoke showing from the rear of a two story single family home and established command. New Market Volunteers Run 3 Alarm Fire in the City

At 0044 hours on Monday, November 3rd units were alerted on Box 3-4 for smoke in the house in the 300 Blk of South Market Street. Initial units went on scene with heavy fire from the rear of a 3 story rowhouse. A rapid intervention dispatch and 2nd alarm were quickly requested by command. Rollover with One Pinned in New Market

At 2313 hours on Monday October 27th units from New Market and Mount Airy were alerted for a vehicle accident with rollover on the ramp from I-70 west bound to Route 75. A159(FF Rosebrock), E152(Sgt. Chapman), U15(Chief Nalborczyk), B156(Tech. Fossett), and C15-1(DFC Moe) responded on the run with 16 volunteers. On Sunday October 19th, RE153(Chapman) and B156 towing BT15(Westerholm) assisted Urbana VFC 23 with their Fire Safety Open House, all units were on display to any citizens who wanted to further their knowledge about the Rescue Squad and Water Rescue services provided by our department.
