NMDVFD 30 Days in 30 Guns Drawing

Help Support NMDVFD at Adventure Park USA's Hero Day

On Saturday August 16, 2014, Adventure Park USA will be holding their annual Hero Day event. Proceeds from this event will support the New Market District Volunteer Fire Department. Volunteers Hold Monthly Drill at Frederick County Training Academy

On Thursday July 24th at 1900 hours the New Market Volunteers loaded up and headed over to the Frederick County Public Safety Training Academy. E152, RE153, B156, U15, and C15 attended the drill with 20 volunteers, while A159 remained staffed in quarters. On Tuesday July 29th, Engine-152(FF3 Lawson) took on the fill-in assignment at Fire Station 31 (Westview) while the career and volunteer members paid tribute to Past Chief Mark Fisher who lost his battle with cancer, New Market Volunteers send their deepest sympathy in such a loss to our neighbors.

Volunteers Extinguish Abandoned House Fire

On Sunday July 20th at 0130 hours units were dispatched for a reported field fire in the 12900 block of Old Annapolis Road. RE153(Lt. Williamson), B156(FF Kennedy), U15(EMR Runkles), and D15(Lt. New Market Volunteers Receive $119,000 Federal Grant

On Thursday, July 3, 2014 the New Market District Volunteer Fire Department was awarded a $119,000 federal Assistance to Firefighters Grant. The annual grant program, run by FEMA, provides funding for fire departments across the nation to purchase fire apparatus, equipment, turnout gear, and many other projects. One Ejected on Boyers Mill Road

On Sunday June 29th at 2310 hours units were alerted for a vehicle accident with rollover on Boyers Mill Road in the area of New Market Court. A159(EMT Mercandetti), RE153(Lt. Williamson), B156(FF D. On Saturday May 31st at 0137 hours units from New Market, Mount Airy, and Libertytown were alerted for a vehicle accident with rollover on Interstate 70 eastbound at Green Valley Road. Thews attended an awards program in Annapolis for the annual MIEMSS Awards, at this ceremony Company-15 along with several technical rescue teams were given the MIEMSS Star of Life Award for their efforts at the Trench Rescue incident in late 2013. Volunteers Conduct Monthly Drill on Slope Evacuations

On Wednesday May 14th at 1900 hours the New Market Volunteers conducted their monthly company training drill. This month's topic was slope evacuations and building anchor points.
