Another $9K Mega Cash Bingo

The New Market Volunteers are set to hold a $9,000.00 Mega Cash Bingo on Friday September 9th, 2016, doors open at 5PM, games start at 645PM. Tickets are $60 in advance and $75 at the door. A meal and drinks are included. There will be a $1600 Large Jackpot and $800 Small Jackpot.

As everyone can hopefully tell by the pictures, the inside work has almost been completed. Coming soon is the installation of the side window, HVAC system and lonseal flooring. Once these items have been installed the "box" will be completed. A special order piece of diamond plate is coming to be added to the front of the box when it is mounted on the chassis. Second Collision of the Day Leaves One Trapped

Just as units were clearing a serious collision on Route 80 on Saturday, a second collision assignment was dispatched for the 3600 block of Green Valley Road. Being only a mile away, RE153 (Sgt. Kline), E152 (Capt. Nalborczyk), C15-2 (AFC Betts), and C15-3 (AFC Kennedy) responded to the call with 15 volunteers. Collision on Fingerboard Road Leads to Three Flyouts

On Saturday August 20th at 1525 hours units from Green Valley, New Market, and Urbana were alerted for a vehicle accident with rollover in the 4200 block of Ed McClain Road. RE153 (Sgt. New Market Assists on Libertytown House Fire

At 1606 hours on Thursday August 18th, Box 17-30 was sounded for the house fire in the 11000 block of Horseshoe Drive. E152(LT Williamson), RE153(DFRS Capt Newman), U15(Tech Lawson), B156(Capt Conaway), A159(DFRS FF Metzger), and C15-3(AFC Kennedy) responded on the call with 18 personnel. Rescue Squad 15 Progress Report #2

This week has been another week packed full of action and work towards getting Rescue Squad 15 ready for service.

- Cosmetic Interior Repairs
- Final Touches on Interior and Compartment Lighting
- SCBA Brackets Installed

Ambulance 159 Construction Progress Report #6

Here are some pictures of the painted box. The chassis is in the build line and expected to be completed at the end of the week. Once cleared by Ford Quality Assurance it will be delivered to Liquid Springs to have the suspension installed. Ford has a delivery date in their system of 8/21/16 for our unit. Rescue Squad 15 Progress Report #1

A lot has been going on over the last month with Rescue Squad-15 since picking the unit up from Hollywood VFD #7 of St. Mary's County, Maryland. The Apparatus Committee has been working hard at getting the unit ready for service and scheduling work with vendors.

Vehicle Accident with Entrapment, Fire, and Rope Rescue

Just before the morning rush hour on Wednesday August 3rd, units from the 1st Battalion were alerted for a vehicle accident with rollover on I-70 westbound in the area of the Monocacy River. Reports were of a tractor trailer jackknifed and a dump truck rolled over, on fire, and one trapped in the dump truck.

New Market Volunteers Assist with Historic Flooding in Ellicott City

The New Market Volunteers were called to assist with search and rescue operations last evening in Ellicott City, MD. The downtown area was hit by serious flash flooding. Residences and businesses were not expecting this occurrence, so many vehicles, buildings, and residents were caught up in the floodwaters.
