The New Market District Volunteer Fire Company will host our 2018 Emergency Medical Services Open House at our station on West Main St on Saturday May 26th, 2018 from 11AM until 3PM.
Members of the community are invited to participate in several displays of Emergency Medical Services.

Busy Evening in New Market

The New Market Volunteers along with the daytime career staff had a busy Wednesday afternoon and evening. While only five incidents were handled, three of them were significant responses.

On Friday April 27th, Ambulance-159, Rescue Squad-15, Engine-152 and Medic-17 were alerted for the report of a vehicle into the house on East Main St in New Market. On Wednesday April 25th at 1427 hours, Co. 15 and 33 units, along with Medic 23, were alerted for a vehicle accident with rollover and one on fire in the area of Interstate 70 eastbound and the 61 Mile Marker. On Monday April 23rd at 1637 hours, RS15 was alerted along with Co. 25 and M23 for a vehicle accident with rollover at Fingerboard Road and Prices Distillery Road in Green Valley. D-Shift and Volunteers Battle Large Brush Fires

On Thursday April 12th units from New Market and Mount Airy found themselves battling two major brush fires in the Woodville Road area. Crews were initially called to Old Bohn Road and Mattie Haines Road at 1531 hours for a large brush fire. UNits arrived to find two plus acres on fire in thick the undergrowth and forest.
