On Friday September 19th RE153(Day) as the Rescue Squad and E152(Thews) were alerted for the Building Fire, first arriving ET254(Laird) found a three (3) story church facility under construction with smoke showing side D of the building, ET254 began an aggressive fire attack advancing a line to Division-3 to find a fire in the walls and roofing material, RE153 arrived and reported to Division-3 and eventually the roof to assist with opening up, E152 arrived picking up ET254's line, the crew advanced a back-up line to assist with extinguishing fire while the driver set-up for rural water supply operations. C15-2(Betts) arrived and was assigned to be the Water Supply officer. Units operated on the scene for roughly 30 minutes before command declared the fire out and held the assignment with 1 & 2.
