By Fire Chief Benjamin Nalborczyk
March 17, 2015

While RE153(FC Nalborczyk) was transferred to United Steam Fire Engine Co.3 they were alerted for a report of a collision with patients unconscious. Upon the arrival of first arriving RE153 they found a multiple car vehicle accident with a patient on the ground and one still trapped in the struck vehicle. RE153 quickly went to work stabilizing the vehicle with the trapped occupant, while Chief-15 from RE153 assumed the Urbana Pk Command. Command quickly requested a second BLS unit. RE153, RS3 and TR42 worked for ten (10) minutes freeing the trapped occupant. EMS units provided patient care and transported respectively to FMH for further evaluation.
