on Wednesday February 22nd, 2017, Chief-15(FC Nalborczyk) received a call from Frederick ECC requesting additional personnel to assist with the Mountain Fire currently working on Sugarloaf Mountain. C15 sent a request out to his Volunteers seeking assistance and received response from nine (9) volunteers willing to assist thus sending U15(FF Heller), CAR15(Prob Jones), B156(Sgt Chapman and D15(Sgt Thews). Units operated on the scene of the incident for roughly six (6) hours until being cleared by Command, Chief-14(FC Smallwood). New Market prides itself in its willingness to help our neighboring departments whenever help is needed, however we do not do such without remembering that New Market comes first, during this incident we were able to provide that assistance and leave E152, A159, D15 and C15-3 staffed in quarters with a total of eight (8) personnel between career and volunteer members assuring the next call was answered.

Units: U15, CAR15, B156, D15
