Collision with Entrapment on Route 75

On Wednesday March 22nd at 0847 hours Company 15 units were alerted for a vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 75 and Old New Market Road. A159(DFRS FF Kelly), E152 (DFRS Lt. Wilby), D15 (Capt. Thews), and C15-2 (AFC Betts) responded with 8 personnel. D15 arrived to find a two vehicle head on collision with one patient trapped. The assignment was upgraded and D15 established the Route 75 command. E152 deployed a hose line for protection and worked on making access to the vehicle. The crew of E152 was successfully able to gain. Entry to the vehicle using hand tools. The drivers door was popped and removed. A159 transported the patient to a local hospital and all units cleared a short time later.
