On Friday August 4th at 0430 hours, units were alerted for Box Alarm 25-15 for the possible commercial building fire in the area of Green Valley Road and Ed McClain Road in Monrovia. E152(Capt Nalborczyk), RS15(Capt. Thews), and D15(Lt. Bowles) responded on the box with 10 volunteers. ET254 arrived on scene to find a car trailer on fire with exposure to a commercial building. ET254 established command and the crew stretched an attack line. RS15 arrived and assisted with forcible entry to the trailer, and then forcing entry into the exposure to check for extension. E152 picked up ET254's supply line and began setting up for dump site operations. RS15's crew found no extension into the adjacent business or the attic of the building. Crews had the fire knocked in about 10 minutes and the box was scaled back to Co. 25 and 15 units, as well as ET233. Units operated for about an hour while the fire marshal investigated.
