On Friday September 8th at 0445 hours, units from Carroll, Frederick, Howard, and Montgomery counties were alerted for a house fir in the 700 block of Ridge road in Howard County. E152 (FF3 Williamson) responded with 5 volunteers on the assignment. Units arrived to find fire showing from the second floor of a two story single family home. Howard Chief 4-A established the Ridge Road Command. Units began an attack on the fire, while simultaneously assisting several residents out of the structure. At least on person was injured and had to be transported to a local hospital. The fire was knocked fairly quickly, units completed overhaul, and the assignment was scaled back not long after. The fire was under investigation by the Howard County Fire Marshal's office.
