The New Market Volunteers are proud to announce their recent receipt of a Maryland DNR Volunteer Fire Assistance Grant in the amount of $1,775.00 toward a total project cost of $3,550.00. We intend to use these highly valuable grant funds toward purchasing new fire hose, portable lighting and hand tools for our wildland fire response capabilities, without grants like this many of our yearly projects would not be possible. New Market DVFC was the only corporation in Frederick County to take advantage of this grant opportunity and receive award subsequently.
