On Saturday November 4th at 1714 hours Box Alarm 33-02 was alerted for a house fire in the 9700 block of Chestnut Oak Court. E152, A159, and U15 were committed to a medical local in the first due prior to the call, so RS15 was the only unit dispatched. RS15 (FF3 Bloodgood) and C15 (FC Nalborczyk) responded on the run with 5 volunteers. E331 arrived first to find a single story home with smoke showing from all sides. C15 arrived and assumed the Chestnut Oak Court Command, requesting the rapid intervention dispatch and tanker task force. Fire was found throughout the first floor by crews, and an interior attack was initiated. RS15 performed searches and controlled the utilities, which proved to be negative. The fire was knocked fairly quickly and the assignment was scaled back within an hour of dispatch. RS15's crew also helped open up for the engine companies. The fire is under investigation by the Frederick County Fire Marshal's Office.
