Icy Roads Make for Busy Morning for New Market Volunteers

On the morning of Sunday, February 4th, a round of freezing rain and snowy mix caused ice covered roadways in New Market and surrounding areas. Beginning at 1100 hours, numerous collisions were being reported on I-70. In total the New Market Volunteers would respond to six separate collisions in under two hours. Here is a listed of incidents responded to:

1140 Hours - Vehicle Accident ALS - One into a Tree - 13200 Blk Old Annapolis Road - A179 M17 RS15 RE171

1145 Hours - Vehicle Accident with Entrapment - Mutual Aide to Carroll County - Interstate 70 EB @ 68 MM - E152

1205 Hours - Vehicle Accident with Entrapment - Interstate 70 WB @ 64 MM - A159 M23 RS15 E331

1257 Hours - Vehicle Accident with Rollover - 4800 Blk of Whiskey Court - A239 M23 RS15 E231

Each response was made without fail or late response, and at least 15 volunteers were on calls in the middle of all the madness.
