D-Shift and Volunteers Respond to House Fire

On Thursday June 7th at 1355 hours, E152 (DFRS Lt. Hayter), RS15 (Capt. Thews), C15-1 (DFC Kennedy), and C15-3 (AFC Bowles) responded to an attached garage fire on Talbot Run Road in Co. 17’s area. Eleven personnel responded from Co. 15. Crews arrived to find smoke coming from the garage and a working fire. A rapid intervention dispatch and tanker task force were requested. The fire was quickly knocked by CCE12 and E172. Rescue Squad 15 operated as the first due special service and performed various tasks for command. E152 assisted with fire attack. Carroll Chief 14-2 held command, and Chief 15-3 was the fire attack group leader. Co. 15 operated on the scene for one hour.
