On Tuesday July 10th at 1455 hours New Market and Mount Airy units were dispatched to Interstate 70 westbound near the 68 mile marker for a vehicle accident with rollover. A159 (DFRS), RS15 (Capt. Thews), E152 (DFRS Capt. Davis), and C15 (FC Nalborczyk) responded on the incident with 10 personnel. Units arrived on scene to find two vehicles involved with one on its roof. Chief 15 established I-70 Command, while the units began to triage patients. EMS Operations we’re headed up by Carroll Chief 1-3 (Halterman). There were no patients requiring extrication, but multiple patients required treatment and transport to area hospitals.
