At Around 23:00hrs, a Linganore resident called our fire station for assistance with a cat stuck in a storm drain. The crews at the fire station are always more than willing to provide any assistance we can to the residents of our community, no matter what time of the day or night the need seems to arise. It was a quick service call. Upon arrival we were greeted by the callers and the cat was meowing for help. We simply removed the heavy storm drain cover and proceeded to climb approximately 15 feet below grade. The cat was very friendly and very happy to rescued from the storm drain.

Dear NM DVFD,

Thank you so much for your quick response time and wonderful cheer as you quickly responded and rescued my friendly feline. He ate a huge meal when he got home and was happy to be warm and safe.

Thanks for the rescue!!
