The New Market Volunteers had a busy evening assisting the Mount Airy VFC with numerous storm related calls on Friday night.

At 2026 hours RS15 and D15 responded with 5 volunteers to a reported building collapse at TJ Maxx on Twin Arch Road. Units found minor structural damage to the roof assembly after high winds racked the building. An active gas leak was present as well as water leaks. RS15 controlled utilities and performed searches of the store. D15 was assigned as the safety officer. BAT901 had command.

E152 responded shortly after the other units for numerous fire alarms and downed wires calls in the Mount Airy area. They operated for about two hours on several different storm related calls.

D15 and Co. 25 units took in motor vehicle accidents on I-70 and Route 27 respectively. These were minor in nature.

At 2101 hours RS15 and D15 responded for multiple trailers damaged in the Pheasant Ridge trailer park. Units found trees down on numerous trailers and searched the neighborhood for injuries and other hazards. Units operated for about an hour with no injuries found. BAT901 had command.
