On Wednesday November 7th at 1004 hours, Box 25-11 was alerted for a house fire in the 11900 block of Clayton Court in Green Valley. E152 (DFRS Capt. Freeman), U15 (FF3 Lawson), C15-1 (DFC Kennedy), and D15 (Capt. Thews) responded on the box with 8 personnel. RS15 was alerted but was unable to respond due to a mechanical problem. A259 arrived to find a one story single family home with smoke showing from the roof and first floor, as well as an injured occupant needing medical attention and possibly one trapped occupant. E152 arrived as the first engine and laid a supply line from the end of the court. D15 established command as E152 stretched a line to the first floor. Command requested the tanker task force due to the rural nature of the fire. A159 (DFRS FF Vetri) was added to the call to replace A259, who was engaged in patient care. All occupants were confirmed out of the structure and fire was found just inside the front door. E152, along with crews from Co. 23 made an aggressive attack on the fire, which had already extended into the attic space. Crews from E251 and CCE12 stretched additional lines the basement and side C. TWR23 opened up the roof and confirmed the fire in the attic was out. BAT901 arrived to assist command, C15-1 was assigned as Division 1, and BAT705 was assigned as the water supply officer. Crews operated with the fire marshals for about two hours in total before the investigation was completed and all hot spots were extinguished.
