| Thursday morning December 30 at 0117 hours (01:17 AM), Box Alarm 01-02 was dispatched for a mobile home on fire with propane tanks exposed, in the 7900 block of Circle Drive. Several calls were received reporting a working fire while units were enroute. Montgomery County Chief 717-Charlie was first on the scene reporting a mobile home fully involved in fire. The incident was actually in the 7800 block of West Hill Rd. Howard County Engine 41 (Lisbon) was the first fire engine on the scene and laid a supply line from the closest intersection where Engine 12 picked it up followed by the three tankers on the call. Crews also found a large roll-off dumpster adjacent with fire in it. Water supply was set-up at the intersection of Ridge Drive and Circle Drive using tankers. The tankers went to the closest water supply location, a dry hydrant, in the 4100 block of Old National pike (Route 144) to fill-up. Crews operated on the scene for approximately 3 hours and the State Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause. The mobile home and it's contents were completely destroyed. |
