| Last night, Saturday June 6th, the New Market Volunteers hosted their very first heavy metal benefit concert. With three very talented bands, an excellent sound man, and a dedicated team of volunteers, the activities hall was transformed into a high energy music venue. The event ran smoothly and it appeared that everyone in attendance, whether the music was their cup of tea or not, had a wonderful time supporting the firehouse. All money earned went directly to helping fund the brand new Engine 153.
A deep and sincere thank you goes out to the bands, ABOMINOG, EMERGE A TYRANT, and BOUND BY THE GRAVE, Dave Davidson for running sound, the crew who helped ensure that everything ran smoothly, Old Fireman BBQ and Catering Co. for the amazing food, County Side Liquors for the charitable donation, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, EVERYONE WHO SUPPORTED the night by buying a ticket, having a drink, or enjoyed some of the best BBQ around.
