| in the late evening hours of Friday March 16th companies 15, 33, and 3 were alerted for a vehicle accident with rollover and one into the woods on Interstate 70 westbound in the area of Exit 59 (Route144). A159(Capt. Lawson), RE153(Lt. Kilby), ET154(Sgt. Thews), and C15(Nalborczyk) responded on the run with 13 personnel. First arriving E331 found the incident to be a two vehicle collision on the westbound side between Mussetter Road and Exit 59. Company 15 units arrived next and C15 established the I-70 Command. Units found no entrapment, but there were two trauma patients laying next to their vehicles. Duty 3(Capt. Custer) arrived and assumed the command after a face to face with C15. Crews worked 30 minutes packaging and evaluating patients and eventually both patients were transported to area hospitals. Units cleared the scene at 2400 hours. |
