On Saturday April 28th at 1430 hours companies 15, 25, and CC Co.1 were alerted for a dirt bike versus a police cruiser in the 4400 block of Bill Moxley Road. RE153(Lt. McTighe) and Co15 fire police responded with 6 personnel. While en route ECC advised units that a dirt bike had run head-on into a police cruiser and the rider was unconscious. ECC had already started aviation due to the reports of serious injuries. First arriving CCM18 confirmed dispatch information and further advised of a Category B Priority 2 trauma patient. RE153 and company 15 units arrived simultaneously and RE153 established the Bill Moxley Road Command. CCM18 and A259 crews tended to the patient while ET254 and RE153 secured a landing zone for Trooper 3 and controlled leaking fluids from the dirt bike. The patient was back-boarded and loaded onto Trooper 3 and transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, MD. Units cleared at 1515 hours.
