On Sunday June 29th at 2310 hours units were alerted for a vehicle accident with rollover on Boyers Mill Road in the area of New Market Court. A159(EMT Mercandetti), RE153(Lt. Williamson), B156(FF D. White), and C15(Chief Nalborczyk) responded on the assignment with 12 volunteers. Units arrived to find a single vehicle rolled over in the roadway with the occupant lying some distance away from the vehicle. C15 established the Boyers Mill Road Command. The occupant had been ejected from the truck after it hit a bridge abutment and rolled over. The wreck stemmed from a police chase that had begun just moments before. Aviation was requested due to the severity of the patient's injuries. A landing zone was established by E331 at Deer Crossing Elementary School, but Trooper 3 decided to land closer to the scene. The patient was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. Air Unit 4 was requested by Command to assist the FCSO with scene lighting. Units cleared a short time later.
