On Thursday July 24th at 1900 hours the New Market Volunteers loaded up and headed over to the Frederick County Public Safety Training Academy. E152, RE153, B156, U15, and C15 attended the drill with 20 volunteers, while A159 remained staffed in quarters. Members participated in drills on a variety of topics, including; calling a mayday and self rescue, forcible entry, hose line deployment and management, standpipe operations, cutting window bars and door hinges, and repacking hose lines. The drill lasted for three hours and all personnel were able to take a lot away from the drill. A special thanks goes out to the DFRS staff at the training academy for assisting with the drill and making it possible.
