Based on recent maintenance issues with the normally assigned front line apparatus the leadership of our corporation set out to find a reserve piece of apparatus to serve as our front line pumper while the Frederick DFRS pumper on loan to us as Engine-152 was out for some much needed repairs, with no additional reserve apparatus available in the DFRS fleet we turned to our neighbors of the Urbana VFD, they allowed us to borrow there back-up pumper Engine-232 to serve our community as Engine-152 until repairs are complete on our pumper. Having an Engine Company also known as Pumper to serve our community is essential and Engine Company work is the basis of every fire department.
