On Sunday October 5th, Members of the community as well as a wide variety of membership from the department gathered at a rededication ceremony for Engine #1 which later became known as Engine-151. Volunteer Director Jewell served as the Master of Ceremony for an event which absolutely would not have been possible without the hard work of the Engine 151 Restoration Committee under the lead of now Honorary Chief Christopher Beard. Several key speakers from the foundation of the department such as Charles Kline, Jerome Wilcom and Past Chief Jerry Shanks made remarks related to the service life of Engine-151. The committee had worked very hard for over 10 years to restore the Engine working with only donated funds and donated services to bring the Engine back to life. Past/First Chief James Hahn started a fund for the Engine Restoration at the time of his passing, it is with his thought of restoring the truck that Honorary Chief Beard picked up the project and led a marathon of a project in order to complete a task that was well overdue.
