On Friday November 14th at 1215 hours Box 33-1 was sounded for smoke from the house in the 9000 Block of Shadybrook Drive in Spring Ridge. First arriving BAT901(Morlan) went on the scene with smoke showing from the rear of a two story single family home and established command. Crews stretched lines and discovered a fire on the rear porch that had extended onto the first and second floors, as well as the attic. RE153(Lt. Rinker) responded as the third due engine and arrived on scene as such and assumed the RIT duties. FD100(DFC Keyser) arrived on scene and assumed command, requesting the RID shortly thereafter. This brought E152(Capt. Thews) and U15(FF Goers) with 8 volunteers to the secne. E152 joined RE153 on the alpha side as part of the Rapid Intervention Group. Crews operated for about 30 minutes before the fire was declared out. The company 15 units were in service after operating on the scene for about 1 hour.
