One Pinned in Green Valley

On Monday December 22nd at 0200 hours units from New Market, Green Valley, and Urbana were alerted for a vehicle accident with entrapment in the area of Fingerboard Road and Green Valley Elementary School. RE153(Lt. Williamson) and D15 (Capt. Thews) responded with 7 volunteers. Co. 25 units arrived on scene to find a single vehicle MVA with one patient trapped. ET254-A established command and requested aviation for a priority one trauma patient. E152(Chief Nalborczyk) was dispatched to established the helicopter LZ and responded with volunteers. RE153 arrived and began the extrication. D15 assumed the Fingerboard Road Command. RE153 removed the drivers door and then realized the patients legs were pinned. A dash lift was performed to free the patient. Extrication took about 10 minutes from initial arrival on scene. Trooper 3 transported the patient priorty one to Shock Trauma. The Co. 15 units packed up and were clear by 0245 hours.
