On Wednesday January 21st a mid-morning snow storm struck the area, causing a slew of motor vehicle collisions. At 1233 hours, New Market units were alerted for a vehicle accident at Ijamsville Road and Broadmoor Crossing in Company 33's first due. A159 (FF Harper), RE153 (Capt. Schultz), E152 (Sgt. Chapman), and C15-1 (DFC Moe) responded with 11 personnel. The New Market units arrived to find a single vehicle off the road with one occupant trapped. RE153 established Ijamsville Road command and the crews RE153 and E152 went to work stabilizing the vehicle and extricating the patient. A door pop was performed to free the patient within matter of minutes. The single patient was transported priority three by A159 and units went in service.
