Volunteers Respond to Collision with Multiple Injuries

On Friday February 13th, New Market units, A159(EMSII Telfer), RE153(Sgt Chapman), E152(FFIII Broyles), C15(Nalborczyk), C15-1(Moe), B156(Prob Fossett) and U15(EMR Runkles) with a total of 24 volunteers responded for the report of a Motor Vehicle Collision at the intersection of Old National Pike and Detrick Rd, while responding ECC advised the units that they were adding a second ambulance and a medic unit for a report of multiple patients and one with chest pains. First arriving RE153 went on the scene with a multiple car accident, units began to size-up the scene to find a total of three (3) patients with a patient having chest pains. Units began BLS care and scene security measures until the arrival of additional BLS units. Units operated on the scene for nearly an hour before returning to service.
