On Sunday March 8th, while E152 was committed to another run for a Motor Vehicle Collision, Box Alarm 25-5 was sounded for the report of a house on fire 11900blk of Wonder Ct in Green Valley, alerting Company-25 units and RE153(XO Heller) as the Rescue Squad. While units were responding neighboring Chief-23(May) advised communications that smoke could be seen from Urbana. E152(Sgt Hanagan) was added to the Box Alarm as other units began to fail. First arriving ET254 found a single story residential dwelling with smoke showing from the rear. ET254 mounted an aggressive attack in the basement, next arriving RE153 was assigned to work alone in the Rescue Group, performing Primary and Secondary searches of the entire structure, proving negative. Upon the arrival of E152 who assumed the 4th due position, they were ordered to cover the 1st floor above the fire and check for extension, the crew advanced the 400' attack line to do so. A159(FF Rosebrock), B156(FF Gamble), C15-2(Betts) and C15-1(Moe) all responded as supplemental alarms were added to the assignment for a total of 16 Volunteers. In all units from Companies 15 and 25 as well as Tower-23 operated for roughly an hour on the fireground, initial units did an outstanding job with fire suppression reducing the need for units to 2 Engines and 2 Special Services. The Rapid Intervention Dispatch and Tanker Task Force were placed in service while responding by command(C717-Sutton). During the fireground operations the volunteers managed to maintain a crew for U15(FF White) to handle any calls in Station-15's local alarm area.
