D Shift and Volunteers Extinguish Small Brush Fire

On Monday March 30th around 1230hrs Company-15 was alerted for a tree fire in the 12400blk Hill Ct, when initial Engine Company, RE153(DFRS Capt Shippey) responded ECC updated the assignment to trees on fire bringing B156(FF Fuller) and E152(AFC Thews) with a total of 9 personnel. Upon arrival of RE153 they found a 100' x 200' area of brush and woods on fire. RE153 took the command and units went to work containing the fire. Crews were capable of getting a handle on the fire prior to the need for any additional resources. Command requested the Fire Marshall's Office to respond out to take a report of the fire. Units operated for 30 minutes mopping up before going in service from the call.
