On Sunday October 4th at 1932 hours, ECC alerted units from Frederick, Carroll, and Montgomery Counties for a commercial building fire across from 13112 Old National Pike. E152 (Lt. Williamson), RE153 (Chief Nalborczyk), A159 (FF Rosebrock), B156 (EMR Runkles), U15 (FF Klingensmith), and C15-1 (DFC Moe) responded on the call with 18 volunteers. E152 arrived on scene to find a single story workshop structure with smoke showing. The crew stretched the 400' line off the rear, while RE153's crew forced entry into the shop. C15-1 arrived, established the Old National Pike Command and requested the Rapid Intervention Dispatch. The Co. 15 units found a fire in the bravo quadrant and made quick work of it. The crews overhauled and isolated utilities. Minimal extension was found in the walls and structure. The box was held to Co. 15 to assist the FM and units cleared about an hour after dispatch.A158 remained staffed in quarters throughout the incident.
