On Wednesday October 7th at 1509 hours units from Co. 3 were alerted for a field fire on East Church Street near Monocacy Boulevard. Units arrived to find about one and a half acres of field on fire. SFT901 established command and additional units were requested. A brush task force was eventually filled out, bring B156 (FF Rippeon) and D15(Capt. Conaway) with 3 volunteers. The units made quick work of the field fire and had it contained in about 30 minutes. Units hit hot spots and picked up a short time later.
