The New Market Volunteers sent six members and RE153 to Mid-Atlantic Technical Rescue's Heavy Truck Stabilization and Extrication program this past weekend. It was hosted by The Union Bridge and New Windsor Volunteer Fire Companies. Each group went through four unique and challenging scenarios involving four different types of trucks, as well as a few hours in the classroom. The members learned many methods and techniques for dealing with incidents involving these large and heavy vehicles. We were very grateful to have the opportunity to attend. The members attending were:

Firefighter III Matthew Thews
Firefighter III Brady Thews
Firefighter III Chad Hannaby
Firefighter II Derek White
Firefighter II Chris Kline
Firefighter I Max Berger
