The New Market District Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to announce its receipt of a grant award from Baltimore Gas and Electric in the Emergency Response and Safety Grant Program for $6,000.00 toward Water Rescue Protective Clothing. The funding will purchase six (6) news sets of Water Rescue Protective Clothing to accompany our existing Water Rescue Protective Clothing utilized by the members of our Special Operations Group - Water Extrication Tactics (WET) Team, without this funding from BG&E the equipment obtained would have been extremely delayed awaiting funding.

The New Market Volunteers are extremely excited about the new formed partnership with Baltimore Gas and Electric and we honor their commitment to this and many other grant programs which enhance the safety of the communities they service. The equipment funded by this grant will not only serve in the New Market Community but will respond with our WET Team to incidents in Frederick, Carroll, Howard and Montgomery Counties or wherever our WET Team may be deployed.
