Garage Fire In Co. 25 First Due

On Sunday January 17th at 1512 hours, Box 25-4 was alerted for the detached garage on fire with exposures in the 3400 block of Prices Distillery Road. E152(FF Hannaby), RE153(Lt. Hanagan), and B156(FF Wagaman) responded on the call with 13 personnel. ET254 arrived on the scene to find a garage on fire and completely collapsed, with exposure to a nearby garage. ET254 established command and quickly passed it to BAT901. E152 was assigned to establish the primary fill site as the 5th due engine company and reported to the hydrant at Route 75 and Knolls Parkway. ET254 went to work knocking the fire with hand lines. RE153 and MCRE709 assisted with the extinguishment and overhaul of the fire building. No extension was found in the adjacent structures and the box was held to ET254, MCRE709, RE153, TWR23, and MCT709. All units cleared within an hour after dispatch.
