At 733PM units were dispatched to Box Alarm 23-1 for a report of Smoke in the House in the 3700blk of Hope Commons Circle in Urbana. Engine-152(Sgt Chapman), Rescue-Engine-153(FF White) and Duty-15(Capt Conaway) responded on the assignment with 13 Volunteers. First arriving Engine-231, investigated to find a working fire in the ceiling of a two story townhouse. The Rapid Intervention Dispatch was requested bring Ambulance-159(Capt Nalborczyk) with 3 additional Volunteers. Engine-152 arrived on the scene and assumed their role as dispatched establishing their own water supply and stretching a 400' 1 3/4" attack line to the rear of the strip of townhouse via a break in townhouse groupings, Engine-152 gave a size-up to Command and worked their way up to back up units on Division-1. Rescue-Engine-153 arrived on the scene and worked on Utility Control and a Secondary Search of the building then assisted with Salvage and Overhaul. Units worked for roughly an hour, the fire was quickly contained on the first floor and command began to scale back the assignment shortly thereafter. Great work by all units on the scene to keep this fire contained to the area of origin.
