New Market Volunteers Assist on Mount Airy House Fire

At 2136 hours on Wednesday July 7th, E152(Chief Nalborczyk) responded with 6 volunteers to assist Mount Airy VFC with a house fire at the corner of North Main Street and East Church Street. MAVFC Engine 12 arrived to find a working fire on the first floor of home turned into an apartment building. They quickly knocked the fire with an interior attack. MAVFC Rescue 1 and Engine 152 assisted them with checking extension and overhauling the fire room. Extensive overhaul was performed due to the balloon frame construction style of the building. The building was ventilated and no further extension was found. Units cleared around 2230 hours.
