On Monday November 21st at 0837 hours, units from Mount Airy and New Market were alerted for a vehicle accident with entrapment at Samhill Drive and Lomar Drive in Mount Airy. RE153(DFRS Capt. Newman) and D15(Capt. Thews) responded on the assignment with 6 personnel. Units from Mount Airy arrived to find a two vehicle accident with one of the vehicles in a drainage ditch. There were multiple patients with one trapped. Carroll Chief 1 established Command and requested additional EMS units. A159 was added to the call. CCE12 and RE153 worked to perform a door pop and removal on the passenger side. This was completed within minutes and all patient were treated and transported to area hospitals.
