In the early morning hours on Sunday December 29th, units on the Westside of Frederick County had been alerted to a two (2) alarm equivalent house and building fire in Downtown Burkittsville. Rescue Squad-15(Sgt Kennedy) was originally transferred to Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company, from which they were later dispatched to assist on the fireground. Rescue Squad-15's crew operated for nearly an hour before being placed in service.
