House Fire Near Mount Pleasant

On Monday, December 14 at 1530 hours, Box 17-31 was sounded for a house fire with possible entrapment on Pleasant Vista Drive near Mount Pleasant. Chief 11-1 was the first arriving unit and found fire showing from a two-story single-family detached dwelling. C11-1 established command and requested the rapid intervention dispatch and the tanker task force. Engine 152 assisted with establishing a water supply from Old Annapolis Road and the crew operated first floor, finding fire and extinguishing the same. Rescue Squad 15 originally responded on the rapid intervention dispatch, however RS15 was moved up to the 3rd special service. RS15 threw ground ladders, completed secondary searches on all three floors, and assisted with opening up for fire attack crews. Ambulance 159 crew was also put to work with assisting with overhaul. Car 15, Utility 15, and Ambulance 158 also responded on the assignment. U15 and CAR15 assisted with the extensive overhaul of the structure. Crews operated on the scene for approximately three hours before being placed in the service.
