Large Brush Fire in New Market

On Saturday, January 23 at 11:07 hours, Engine 152 and Brush 156 responded for a brush fire in the 12700 block of Barnett Drive. Company 15 arrived on the scene to initially find a 400 x 100 area on fire on a hillside. E152 arrived on the scene and established command. Units quickly realized due to the wind conditions that additional brush trucks would be needed to the scene. Command requested requested two additional brush trucks and one tanker. Chief 15 arrived on the scene and assumed the Barnett Drive command. A brush task force was requested as well. E153, RS15, A159, and Utility 15 also responded on the incident
