Recently the Frederick County Division of Fire/Rescue Services Fire Chief Thomas Coe has released the division's 2020 Annual Report highlighting the calendar year 2020, one of the many notable items in this report is the response performance by both the New Market and Green Valley Stations of the New Market District VFC. See the highlights below - Ambulance Responses - New Market - 1,011 - 8th Busiest Engine Company Responses - New Market - 639 - 5th Busiest Rescue Company Responses - New Market - 295 - 2nd Busiest Brush Company Responses - New Market - 72 - 3rd Busiest Boat Company Responses - New Market Swiftwater - 30 - 2nd Busiest The stations continue to provide this level of service with a combination of DFRS Staff and a large core of Volunteers. The New Market Station remains the counties only Full Service Fire Station providing service with only limited daytime (M-F 6a-6p) DFRS Staff, this service is provided without Failure, Late Response or Understaffed Response. The Green Valley Station has a full 24hr compliment of DFRS Staff that answer all calls and only seen failure when the call volume overran the available resources in the station. |
