On Sunday May 23, Rescue Squad 15(Sgt.Klingensmith) and A158(EMSII Willems) and C15-1 (DFC Kennedy) were alerted for a vehicle accident with entrapment in the area of the 13500 block of Old National Pike. CCM19 arrived first and found a truck that rolled over several times and came to rest on a large tree, and was about 5 feet in the air. RS15 arrived moments later and established the command and confirmed no entrapment. Crews from RS15, CCE12, A158 and CCM19 began to search the area for any patients. CCM19 and CCE12 were able to locate 3 patients. RS15 crew was able to find the other patient 50 feet away in a wooded area. Due to the location of the truck crews had a difficult time searching because of a wetland area. All patients were flown to shock trauma. DFC Kennedy held the command. |
