Units assist Urbana VFC on Second Working Fire in 15 Hours

On Friday December 24th at 0142hrs ECC alerted Box 23-6 for the report of a House Fire in the 2900blk of Thurston Rd, first arriving Truck-23 went on the scene with fire showing and requesting the Rapid Intervention Dispatch. RS15(FF Wright) was added to the initial alarm replacing failed units, E153(Sgt Constantine) was dispatched on the Rapid Intervention Dispatch, C15-1(DFC Kennedy) accompanied the units on the response sending a total of nine (9) Volunteers on the response. While units operated assisting with Fire Suppression on the scene, New Market Volunteers were capable of placing both Ambulances and a 3rd Suppression Crew in service with an additional eight (8) Volunteers, Emergency Communications staff took advantage of this and transferred A158(EMS Sgt Temple) to Company-23(Urbana VFC) for coverage while their units were out.
