Derby of New Market joins us for All Day Fundraiser

The Derby of New Market and New Market District VFC are joining together to host a fundraiser to raise funds for the Fire Company. From 11am until 9pm on Monday October 19th the event will be held at the Derby of New Market. There will be many events going on that day as detailed in the flyer.

On 10/12/2020 at 15:27hrs New Market and many other stations were dispatched for a house on fire in the 6300BLK of Bradford Ct in Spring Ridge. Bringing E152(DFRS LT), RS15(Capt Nalborczyk), SUP15(LT Kennedy), A158(DFRS FF) and FP15G(FP Smatlak) with a total of fifteen (15) personnel. Units arrived on the scene with fire showing. On Saturday October 10th, Units from New Market and Mt Airy were dispatched to Interstate-70EB in the area of the Scale Station for a reported car on fire

E152 arrived and deployed the bumper line and made quick work of an engine compartment off in a passenger car.

Units were on the scene for about 30 minutes and the scene was turned over to the Maryland State Police

Hay Bales on Fire and a Motorcycle Crash on Sunday Afternoon

Around 1300hrs units were dispatched to Interstate-70 in the area of the Rest Area for a reported hay trailer on fire, units arrived to find several hay bales on fire, and requested additional units and tankers.

"A teenage boy died after jumping into Lake Linganore from a concrete walkway Thursday afternoon, according to emergency officials.
