Longaberger Christmas Basket Bingo – December 15, 2019

The New Market Volunteers will be holding a Longaberger Christmas Basket Bingo on Sunday, December 15, 2019.   Doors open at 1:00 PM and games start at 2:00 PM. Cost is $25.00 per person includes 6-Pak (additional cards will be available).  There will be 22 total games played.    Tip jars and holders will also be available, 50/50 Raffle, Kitchen Refreshments.  We hope to see you there!

Volunteers will host $11K Christmas Mega Bingo

The New Market District Volunteer Fire Company will host an $11,000 Christmas Mega Bingo on Friday, December 13, 2019. Large Jackpot is $1,600 and Small Jackpot is $800. Special games pay $500 and regular games pay $200. Doors open at 4:00 PM and games start at 6:45 PM. Tickets are $70 in advance and $80 at the door. Dinner and drinks are included. First Due House Fire in Lake Linganore

On Wednesday, December 4th at 2204 hours, Box 15-5 was alerted for the reported house fire in the 6600 block of Edgewood Road in Lake Linganore Pinehurst. E152, RS15, A158, SUP15, DIVE15, U15, Chief 15, Chief 15-1, Chief 15-2, Chief 15-3 and Chaplain 15 responded on the call with 32 volunteers.

Crash on Interstate 70

Around 1630 PM, units were dispatched to I-70 eastbound in the area of Route-75 for a Crash with possible rollover. Units arrived to find a single vehicle that rear ended a tractor trailer before crashing into the guardrail, with no entrapment, but severe damage to the vehicle.

On Monday November 18th at 1456 hours, units from the four county area were alerted on Carroll County Box Alarm 1-2 for the trailer fire to the rear of 7912 Circle Drive in Mount Airy. E152 (DFRS Capt Brown) was alerted 4th due on the initial assignment and responded, arriving as the 3rd engine. Volunteers Go To Work Early Monday Morning

Around 0500hrs on Monday November 11th, the Box Alarm was struck for units to respond to Urbana Co.23's first due for the house fire, Engine-153(Sgt Kennedy), Rescue Squad-15(FC Nalborczyk) and Ambulance-159(FFIII Garst) responded on the assignment with a total of thirteen (13) volunteers. Motorcycle Crash on Old National Pike

Around 1330 hours, Co. 15 units were dispatched for a motorcycle accident in the area of Old National Pike and Green Valley Road. Units arrived to find a single motorcycle off the roadway with one subject laying in the street Units packaged the subject for transport and he was transported to a regional hospital for treatment.

New Market Volunteers Assist with Carroll County Water Rescue

Around 2200 hours on Halloween evening, heavy rains began to fall in the region and small stream flooding affected many areas around the region. Units from Carroll and Frederick Counties, including Boat 15 and Dive 15, were dispatched to Twin Arch Road and the railroad bridge for an occupied vehicle stranded in high water.
