On May 5th-7th 2023 Rescue Squad 15 with 4 volunteers travelled to Union Bridge in Carroll County for a combination rescue training. This training involved heavy lifting and vehicle extraction and stabilization. Crews utilized a variety of techniques and equipment to include Paratech struts, hydrafusion struts and Low pressure air bags to name a few. Both days consisted of rope rescues in the afternoon. ... 1st Place 2022 Departmental Training Award

At the annual Frederick County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association Awards Ceremony, we were awarded the 1st place 2022 Departmental Training Award for 119 hours of training per active volunteer member. On April 5th around 21:45 units from the 1st Battalion were alerted for a vehicle accident with Entrapment on I270NB at the over look. RS15(Sgt.Klingensmith) responded with a crew of 6. Co.23 arrived on scene and found one trapped. RS15 and PRE709 worked together to remove both driver side doors and the B post.
