One quick question - in the retired apparatus section, I don't see 251 - the Seagrave. My favorite engine.

Wanted to say thank you to everyone who responded to my accident March 10 on Woodville Rd. I don't remember a lot, but from what I do remember, looking at my jeep each time I go outside and the pics from that night I am so grateful for everyone that took care of me. I had no idea how lucky I was to only have some broken ribs and bruised lung. After a several days in Shock Trauma I was able to go home to be with my husband. If it wasn't for whomever called 911 and your quick response, i could have had a very different story so Thank You!

You have inspired me. my name is Miranda Plumb, i am 17. I was visiting my mother when I awoke to the sound a Joseph Jenkins car crashing into a tree outside my home...I called 911 and rushed outside to help. I talked to him while waiting for responders to arrive..he seemed so very much in shock and afraid (i would have been too). Standing right next to him..hearing his voice..looking into his eyes...I wanted nothing more then to provide him comfort and help assist. Something about this event had me hooked. This was, a moment if you will. I realized in this moment that this is what I wanted to do. I heard the sirens and as the fire trucks pulled up I stepped back and watched you amazing men and women helping Joseph..saving him. I now know what I want to do in life, what I feel is my purpose...to help others who are in need. I want to be working in the medical field and it was that tragic accident and your wonderful rescue that has inspired me.
Thank you so much for all that you have done and continue to do. thank you so much!

Just wanted to commend you all on the incredible work you did at the rollover on Jesse Smith. I'm the property owner. It was an honor to watch you do your job and get that guy out of there and out to JHH for medical care. I hope he's doing well. The Post article just does not do justice to what you accomplished and the way in which you went about it. Keep up the good work....and thanks for serving the good residents of Frederick County.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Our community has the BEST fire department in the world!!! Not only because of the wonderful job you all do helping our community in emergencies, but also for the extra things you do. Thank you so much for taking the time to drive Santa around our neighborhood tonight. I cannot begin to tell you how much we all look forward to the parade of fire dept. vehicles and personnel driving around with Santa! My 3 1/2 year old daughter began calling fire engines "Santa's car" after she saw your Santa Parade last year and has been looking forward to seeing it again this year. My 9 year old and his friends were knocking on doors making sure everyone was out to see you tonight. Thank you again for the wonderful memories you are giving our families! We can't wait to see all of you next year!

I am very impressed by your web site. My Dad was a member of the New Market Volunteer Fire Department from 1962-1967. He was the rector of Grace Episcopal Church at the time and we lived in the rectory next door. He loved the Fire service and later became Chaplain for The Baltimore City FD. I have the fondest memories of my childhood years in New Market and long to be closer so I can return for a visit. I LOVED the old annual carnival and parade which was the highlight of the year and am sorry to hear that it is no longer held. If there is anyone still around that might remember my father, the Rev. Robert Grumbine, I would love to hear from him. He died in 2002, and I know he would really enjoy seeing all the new trucks and gear you have now. I am proud to see his legacy go on. Thank you!

How can I get more information about the accident on Eaglehead Drive yesterday when the car was on top of the patient. I held his/her hand until help arriving talking to the patient and letting them know you were on your way. I know you can't share personal information but if there is any way I can find out more I would greatly appreciate it. You can share my info with them if they want to know.

Thanks for all you do!
