On Wednesday evening around 2030 hours, units from the 2nd Battalion were alerted for a barn fire in the 9000 Blk of Mount Tabor Rd in Myersville. Units arrived to find a small barn fully involved with possible exposure to a much larger hay barn. A tanker task force was requested by command. Fire did extend to the second barn and quickly took hold. E152(Chief Nalborczyk) was alerted to transfer to Station 7 and did so with a crew of 6 volunteers. Command requested a fire task force a short time later and E152 responded on that assignment. Operations continued late into the night, and command eventually requested five additional engines to assist on the operation. E152's crew assisted with extinguishing and pulling apart hay bales that were on fire inside the second barn. Units cleared in the early morning hours. Chief 7 held the Mount Tabor Road Command.
