At the annual Frederick County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association Awards Ceremony, we were awarded the 1st place 2022 Departmental Training Award for 119 hours of training per active volunteer member. This comes out to a total of 14,280 hours of formalized training, however, does not include Shift Level, Company Level, County Level, Conference Level or Offsite location training hours for our department, our members are well over 20,000 training hours per year amongst our 120 active volunteer members. We wish to Thank Frederick County Executive Fitzwater, Maryland General Assembly, Senator Karen Young and Senator William Folden for their special acknowledgements of our award.
