| I regret to inform everyone of the passing of former Chief Robert S. Windsor Jr.
Chief Windsor was a Charter and Life Member of the company. He served as Asst. Chief under Chief Hahn and later served as Chief from 1968 to 1978. During his tenure as fire chief, he introduced our company to providing tanker service. Chief Windsor also played an important role in establishing good relationships between our company and mutual aid companies. It was also under Chief Windsor that the idea for establishing a substation in Green Valley was first discussed. Bob's valued service to our company over the years is more than I could ever write down.
In addition to serving the fire company, Bob Windsor was also the long-time President and CEO of Hahn Transportation.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife Rebecca and daughter Barbara during this time.
There will be a viewing at Stauffers Funeral Home, Oppossumtown Pk., Frederick, Md. on Friday August 19 and the funeral will be held on Saturday August 20 at 11:00 am |
