On Thursday, August 1st at 1853 hours the ambulance was dispatched for an injured person in the area of Rockridge Road and Rimrock Lane in Lake Linganore. A159(FF Elliott) responded with two volunteers and was advised while responding by ECC that the patient was located back a trail and a person would meet them to guide them in. The ambulance parked at 6601 Boyers Mill Road near the pump house. The crew walked about a quarter mile back the trail to find the patient lying on a large rock in a creek. The patient sustained a head injury after slipping and falling. A159 requested the engine company to assist. RE153(Lt. Thews) and U15(FF D. White) responded with 7 additional volunteers. Crews had to force entry through a gate and then haul a stokes basket and other equipment back to the location of the patient. The patient was packaged and loaded into the stokes basket. The crews then moved the patient overland from the creek to the trail where the patient was loaded into U15. The patient was driven out to A159 where the patient was moved over and transported to the hospital. Good work by all involved.
