At roughly 1200 hours on Tuesday, October 12th units from New Market, Mt. Airy, Green Valley and Damascus were alerted for a vehicle accident with rollover on Interstate 70 at 66MM. C15(Nalborczyk) went responding and requested ECC to add RE153 to the call. A159(FF Rossomondo), RE153(Lt. Klilby), ET154(Capt. Broyles), C15-2(Betts) and C15 responded on the call with 11 personnel. A159 arrived on scene to find a single vehicle rollover collision with one patient trapped and several others requiring medical attention. C15 arrived and established command and requested aviation for the entrapped patient, who had serious injuries. Co.15's crew worked on stabilizing the pick up truck that contained the entrapped patient. Both drivers side doors and the B-post were removed to gain access to the patient. The patient was extricated in about 10 minutes and turned over to A159 and M713 to treat. The units picked up and went in service a short time later and left the scene to the police and CHART to investigate
